Hallo Helen! London, hmm, ich weiss's nicht ob ich mit den Verkehr auf die linke Seite zurecht komme, eigentlich wollten wir, meine zwei brüder und ich, richtung Süden nach Frankreich, eventuell Italien fahren, nun, einer meiner brüder hat...(l'd rather write in english)so, he meet someone and plans to marry soon so now there are only two of us still willing to take this trip. We are willing to try the wild side of life by sleeping in tents as much as possible, fishing, mushrooming and so on (still buying of course). I thought that if you're willing to join us at least down the Rhine it would be nice, we don't know the bicycle route thou l'm a truck driver and rant the whole Germany and a part of Europe, so, at least in Germany you would be our leader, but l see that you have another route and if you made up your mind l wish you good luck and a nice trip! If you wanna join us just let me know.

If you plan on collecting mushrooms before August, only these will be available:

Beginning in August, the English are busy harvesting mushrooms in northern Germany, as the Swiss do in southern Germany.
If you both want to have some real fun, I'd suggest you bring her an airbrush to touch up some neglected toes



Beware of the food there. You can ride hundreds of kilometers on one breakfast alone

Marodu, sorry for the delay in replying.

My plans are fixed for Berlin to London next April/May and I don't think I will be able to do another long tour in 2012 as I have lots of other things in the diary (my husband is sailing around the British Isles so I have to be at home to look after the dog). However, you will not need a 'guide' to do the Rhein Radweg as it's easy and well signposted. It's definitely nicer in the section between Mainz and Düsseldorf; I found the section north of Düsseldorf less enjoyable (and gave up at Duisburg).

Vieja Bolluda, what a fantastic photo of a full English breakfast. I had one of those on Saturday at a greasy spoon (the name for a particular type of English café) and it was great.

Maxy, your link to the TrikeTreffen didn't seem to give me much information! If it's on my route from Berlin to London, and at the right time, I shall try to make it!

It's on the line Berlin-Hook of Holland anyway (sorry that I don't know how to link to e.g. google-maps), and there will be an estimated number of about 30 trikes at that time. Further details will be given in the "velomobilforum/Treffen" early in 2012.
